| Website | This website, Rapple Furniture, and www.rapple.co.za |
In these terms, "we", "us" and "Rapple" mean Rapple Products (Pty) Ltd. "You" means the person or business using this website or buying from us.
By using this website or placing an order with us you agree to these terms, our returns policy, our delivery procedure and our privacy notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or order from us. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
We describe each product as accurately as we can, with a description of its main features, sizes and, where we have it, the guarantee. Photos are for guidance. Colours, fabrics and finishes can look different on screen and in real life, and many pieces come in more than one colour, frame or finish. We confirm the exact version in your quote and order confirmation. If you have told us what you need the furniture for, tell us before you order so that we can say whether it is suitable.
Where a price is shown it is in South African rand and includes VAT. Many products on this website show "Price on request". For those, add the pieces to your quote list and send it to us. We reply with a written quote that shows the full price including VAT, delivery to your town or city, and any assembly or installation you have asked for. A quote is valid for the period stated on it. We may correct a price that is clearly a mistake before we accept your order and will tell you if we do.
Before you place an order you can review it, correct mistakes and withdraw from it. An order is only accepted once we confirm it to you in writing by email or on the invoice. If we cannot supply an item, we tell you and refund anything you paid for it. We keep a record of each transaction and you can ask us for a copy.
We accept credit or debit card, EFT and cash. We do not accept cheques. Full payment is required before we dispatch an order. If we order an item in for you that is out of stock, or make an item to your order, we ask for a 50% deposit when the order is placed and the balance before delivery, unless your quote says otherwise. Card payments are processed by our payment provider and we do not see or store your card number.
Delivery is quoted for each order, because furniture is bulky. We state the expected delivery time in your quote or order confirmation. If we do not state one, we deliver within a reasonable time and in any event within 30 days of receiving your order, unless we agreed otherwise. You may collect from our Cape Town or Johannesburg branch, or arrange your own transport at your own risk. Assembly and installation are only done if we agreed to them when the order was placed, and are quoted separately. Rapple does not do plumbing or electrical work. Please read our delivery procedure for what to check when your order arrives.
Our returns policy sets out your rights to return goods, to cancel an order and to a refund, including the rights you have by law. Goods made to your specification, or ordered especially for you, are treated as special orders and cannot be cancelled or returned once correctly supplied, unless they are defective or do not match your order.
New goods must be of good quality, in good working order and free of defects, and be suitable for the purpose they are generally used for. If new goods fail to meet that standard, you may return them within six months of delivery and we will, at your choice, repair them, replace them or refund the price. Where a product has a manufacturer guarantee, the period is shown on the product page and in your quote. Guarantees do not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, use other than what the product was made for, or changes made after the goods left our control.
You may use this website to look at our range, build a quote list and send us a quote request. You may not misuse it, try to break its security, copy it in bulk or use it for anything unlawful. We try to keep the website running and the information correct, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
The text, photographs and design on this website belong to us or to the companies we buy from, and are used with permission. You may share a link to a page. You may not copy our content for commercial use without our written permission.
We handle your personal information as set out in our privacy notice, which follows the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.
We are responsible for what the law makes us responsible for, including loss or damage caused by goods that are unsafe or defective. Apart from that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by events outside our control such as a supplier delay, a breakdown of a carrier or load shedding. Our liability for any one order is limited to the price you paid for it, unless the law does not allow that limit.
Please contact us first on 021 981 0032 or at orders@rapple.co.za and we will try to put it right. You may also complain to the National Consumer Commission or take the matter to the consumer court of your province. You can also try alternative dispute resolution through a consumer ombud or an accredited dispute resolution agent.
These terms are governed by South African law and the South African courts have jurisdiction. If part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later. We may update these terms. The version on this website when you place an order applies to that order.
