Rapple Furniture is a division of Rapple Products (Pty) Ltd.
Our returns policy works together with our terms of service and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA). Nothing here limits your rights under the CPA or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECTA).
Check the number of boxes or pieces against the waybill and look for visible damage to the packaging and the goods. Note any shortage or damage on the courier's waybill before you sign. Tell us within 24 hours on 021 981 0032 or at orders@rapple.co.za, with photos. This lets us deal with the carrier quickly. It does not take away your rights if you find a hidden defect later.
If you buy goods through this website, you may cancel without giving a reason and without penalty within seven days after you receive the goods (ECTA section 44). The only charge we may make is the direct cost of returning the goods. If you have already paid, we refund you in full within 30 days of the date you cancel. This right does not apply to goods made to your specifications, clearly personalised, or goods that by their nature cannot be returned (ECTA section 42(2)).
If you agree to a sale as a result of direct marketing, for example a visit or a phone call from us, and section 44 of ECTA does not apply, you may cancel within five business days after the later of the date of the agreement and the date of delivery (CPA section 16). You return the goods at your own risk and expense, and we refund what you paid within 15 business days of getting the goods back, or of your notice if nothing was delivered.
Whichever way you ordered, you may return in-stock goods that we supplied correctly within seven business days of receiving them, for an exchange, a replacement or a refund. Replacements and exchanges depend on stock. The goods must be unused, undamaged, in their original packaging with all fittings and instructions, and in a condition we can resell. Send a copy of the invoice with them. We may charge a handling fee of 15% of the price of goods returned only because you changed your mind, and the cost of collection or return. Refunds are paid within 10 business days of us receiving the goods back, to the payment method you used, or as a credit on your account if you prefer.
A special order is an item we order or make to your specification, such as a chosen fabric, colour, size or finish that is not in our normal stock. The right to cancel an advance order in section 17 of the CPA does not apply to special-order goods, and the seven-day right in section 44 of ECTA does not apply to goods made to your specifications. So once we have placed a special order for you, we cannot cancel it, and once it is correctly supplied we cannot take it back. If it is defective or does not match your order, section 2 above applies. We tell you when you order if an item is a special order.
If you told us the particular purpose you needed furniture for, and within 10 business days of delivery it turns out to be unsuitable for that purpose, you may return it at our risk and expense for a full refund (CPA section 20(2)(d)).
We refund to the payment method you used, unless you ask for a credit on your account. Delivery charges paid to a third party are not refundable unless the goods were delivered damaged or defective, or not what you ordered.
